Roman ruins near Seville
Triana Bridge

Description

If you are passionate about the legacy of the Roman Empire, visiting the ruins of Itálica is to depth-in the Roman culture just a few minutes from Seville and understand their organizational system. The city of Italica was founded in 206 BC. by Publio Cornelio Escipión as a military camp for war-wounded Romans and as a residence for veterans. Emperor Augustus developed the city, and in it, the two influential Hispanic emperors, Trajan and Hadrian, were born. You will be able to admire its magnificent mosaics, the ruins of the ancient baths, and one of the most famous arenas in this region where authentic gladiator fights took place. Not so weird that many film producers have been interested in this place as the scene of their work. An example of this is the television series "Game of Thrones."
